Political decisions, both national and regional, have an influence on West Sweden's ability to compete and its opportunities for development.
The West Sweden Chamber of Commerce plays an important role in bringing together the business community and its decision makers. We do this here at home, by inviting public policy makers here to West Sweden as well as in Stockholm, where the national decisions are made. Thanks to our ability to be present when political decisions are made and political power is exerted, we can follow up on the issues which affect West Sweden's companies allowing for deeper relationships with the key players.
We also supply decision-makers with the reports and materials which reflect the business community's terms as well as the decisions that need to be made to in order to strengthen West Sweden's ability to compete. We work both openly and, in some cases, discreetly, in a private setting, to reach the best results. All our political work is done in an effort to make West Sweden stronger.
Every summer we are in place in Almedalen, with a significant selection of seminars. Most recently, in the summer of 2011, we had at least 21 different seminars and activities in the programme.
