We work to promote business and growth in western Sweden.
The West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a private, politically unaffiliated business and trade organisation that dates back to 1661. Our organisation was established by business interests in the western part of Sweden and we work to promote growth in the region and to help companies do more and better business.
Nearly 2600 companies are members of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Some sixty people work full-time to assist our members. Anyone can come to us when they are trying to achieve new business goals when their own organisations do not have adequate resources. We help companies regardless of whether they deal with imports, exports, on a domestic level or offer advice on a strategic level.
In order to promote stronger growth, there are two primary areas where improvement is most important: infrastructure and education. Furthermore, we work extensively with issues of regional importance because it is becoming increasingly evident that economic growth is fuelled by regional rather than municipal or national logic.
We are a natural meeting place for our members and we offer a golden opportunity to meet new customers, suppliers, speaking partners and other types of partners in one of our business networks.
